Peyton's First two months
Family and Friends,
We are starting this blog as 2 very novice parents who have never "blogged" before. Since we have friends and family across the world this should be a good way to keep everyone up to date on our little miracle baby and her adventures. Our plan is to update this every week!
Peyton: Weeks 1 - 4
I came home 2 days after I was born. Mommy and daddy were excited to get out of the hospital and into our own home and BED! I was such a sweet and mellow baby. Little did we know I wasn't getting anything to eat for about the first 5 days so my mommy (very reluctantly) had to give me formula until she could feed me herself. My first week at home was filled with tons of visitors, daytime sleeping, and lots of diaper changing! Luckily we have lots of family around to hold me and help my mommy and daddy. I got a spongebath which I loved and I tried out all of mommy and daddy's new baby items: pack n play, swing, bassinet, etc.
Daddy stayed home the first week, but went back to work week 2. Mommy was VERY nervous, but survived. They were glad to have daddy home for the next 2 weeks for Christmas and New Years. During this time I learned how to nurse, sleep for 3-4 hours at a time, and once again, I love to be held. I love bathtime. It makes me so mellow. I wish mommy would leave me in the bathtub for longer, but she thinks I get too cold.
Here are more firsts for me:
coos
smiles (I make mommy work for them though)
paci - kind of
sleeping for 4-6 hours at a time
sleeping in my own bed
babysitter (1st - Todd and my cousins, then Mimi & Opa)
Sucking on my fingers
